We offer our kitchen, bathroom and various remodeling services in Westport, Fairfield, & Trumbull, CT, as well as greater Fairfield County. Owned and operated by Gary W. Paige, Jr & family, a third generation tradesman, cabinet and furniture craftsman. The mission of GWP Contracting is to highlight the importance and beauty of woodworking. It is our belief that woodworking is not just a learned skill but an art. GWP Contracting adheres to our mission by creating high quality products, providing employment and training to fellow artisans. A FAMILY AFFAIR
As a child and teenager Gary spent countless hours on his Father's and Grandfather's work sites. Serving as teachers and mentors they passed down not only skill and trade secrets but their ability to problem solve. Expressing an interest in the visual arts as a child he received weekly training through his teenage years in sculpture, design, painting & drawing. In 1998 Gary began his training in the trade of painting and graduated with an Associates Degree in Graphic Design in 2001. During and after college Gary, and his wife Kelly, worked as painters for a local Scenic Studio that created sets for Off-Broadway plays. Eventually Gary's position at the Scenic Studio transitioned into carpenter's helper. In 2002 he became employed as a carpenter for an Upstate NY home builder while living in the mountains for a year on a farm. From 2003-2008, after returning to Connecticut, he worked full-time for a builder while slowly creating a customer base of friends and neighbors. In 2006 Gary and Kelly Paige established GWP Contracting and became incorporated in 2011.
